New to Odoo? Which features should you turn on first?

Many companies install Odoo, then quietly go back to Excel. The usual reason is too many features on day one. People are not sure what to enter, and a few weeks later the spreadsheet is open again.
A steadier way is to name the problem that is actually slowing the company down. For most companies that sell things, it is three things: orders, stock, and money owed. Four features cover them: sales, inventory, purchasing, and basic accounting.
